Why This Exists
My wife asked for this app. She lives with chronic illness and was frustrated by the options out there — either too simple to be useful, too complex to stick with, or too eager to sell her data to third parties.
She wanted something that would help her connect how she feels to what she does. Something that would let her walk into a doctor's appointment with real data instead of guesses. Something that respected her privacy and her time.
So I built it. ChronicAlly is a one-person project, built with care, for people who are trying to understand their own health patterns.
What We Believe
- Your data is yours. We never sell it or use it for advertising. Optional voice and text features use AI services to parse your input, but all data sent is completely anonymous — no name, no account, no health history. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Tracking should be easy, not exhausting. You can log as much or as little as you want. Partial check-ins are normal, not incomplete.
- No guilt. Missed a day? A week? That's fine. ChronicAlly will be here when you're ready, no streak-shaming, no "we missed you!" guilt trips.
- Patterns, not diagnoses. We help you see correlations in your own data. We never claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
How It Works
- Built with SvelteKit, hosted on AWS infrastructure we control
- Data stored in DynamoDB with encryption at rest and point-in-time recovery
- No third-party analytics or error tracking — optional AI features are clearly disclosed in our Privacy Policy
- Full data export (JSON or CSV) anytime from your account page
- Real account deletion — when you delete, everything goes
